The 1400 series Tactical ECS™ are designed to perform an emergency surgical airway procedure known as a cricothyroidotomy. This procedure is performed by properly trained personnel in emergency situations where a patient’s airway is compromised due to severe maxillofacial trauma, burns to the upper airway and difficult airways that cannot be secured by other means.
